Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented Front Office Patient Care Coordinator to join our new team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office. This position involves working with patients to check in, check out, make appointments, collect payments, and provide other assistance and patient care upon request. A background of 2 years in direct patient care, Optometry, and /or Medical office experience or 1 years of Customer Service oriented experience is required. Must be comfortable handling money, have strong computer skills and a reliable ability to muti-task.
Responsibilities Include
- Greet patients and manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, collecting payments, patient data entry, and handling phone inquiries.
- Maintain patient records and ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of patient charts and coordinate with healthcare providers as necessary.
- Insurance verification and prior authorizations as needed ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support clinic, including managing patient flow and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Assisting patients in checking out and collecting payments due from the patient; invoicing in EMR system.
- Daily reporting
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to collect payments from patients and provide detailed receipts and documentation as needed
- Proficiency in using phone systems for effective communication within the office.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and / or Optometric practice.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Team oriented with ability to assist all staff as needed with all business office duties
