Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring a Middle School Teaching Assistant at Empowerment’s Middle School Campus to work primarily with 8th Grade Students. This is for an immediate vacancy. You must hold a Sub Certificate issued by the NJDOE in order to apply.
Base Salary: $37,000 - $52,000
Hours: 7:15am-3:45pm, Monday-Friday (Full-Time)

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
We generally seek the same qualities in assistant teachers that we seek in lead teachers. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. (Exceptions may be made for candidates presently enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts program who are scheduled to receive their degree within the next 24 months.) It is a bonus if candidates possess a NJ Department of Education CE, CEAS or Standard Elementary School Teacher License. At a minimum, TAs must hold their Sub Certificate.
It is also important to have good communications skills, basic administrative skills, and to be a team player who possesses maturity, a strong work ethic, and a whatever-it-takes to help children attitude.
