Senior Vice President Finance

As our Senior Vice President of Finance, you will take full responsibility for financial and management accounting and join the local leadership team in responsibility for the day-to-day running of Belmont Park Village.

What you will be doing

• Providing vision, direction and leadership to the Finance function, managing four direct reports: Accounting Director, FP&A Manager, Brand Accountant and IT Manager (with their own direct report).
• Holding end responsibility for all finance-related activities across the Village and related entities.
• Overseeing monthly, quarterly and annual investor and lender reporting including financial statements, capital statements, waterfalls and GAAP reporting.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and performance management across revenue, costs, capex and cash.
• Driving personnel cost forecasting and governance in partnership with the People team and stakeholders.
• Reviewing and approving reconciliations, close outputs and financial statements prepared by the Accounting Director.
• Overseeing cash management, liquidity and financial risk.
• Leading external auditors and the year-end audit process.
• Sponsoring continuous improvement of finance systems and data in partnership with IT.
• Supporting the senior management team in shaping strategy through financial insight.

• Proven senior finance leadership experience in real estate, retail or hospitality preferred.
• Master’s degree required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience working with investors, lenders and auditors.
• Strong organizational skills, specifically establishing processes and collating information.
• Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial systems; Oracle or MRI knowledge beneficial.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management/influencing skills.
• Comfort operating at review level while able to go into detail when required
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and federal holidays, as needed.
• Fluency in English; any other language would be beneficial.
