The role of our Head wrestling coach is to condition our team, model, and teach the required skills needed for duals and meets with other local High schools. Coaches will be punctual daily to supervise and run practice, help hold students accountable with grades, practice attendance, and behavior, and maintain an environment and culture for teamwork. They will work closely with the Athletic Director, other coaches, and the OST Director to plan competitions, travel, and logistics for hosting and attending meets.
The individual in this role must have a working knowledge of athletics and be well organized. The Head coach for wrestling is expected to have a minimum of three practice days a week, keeping days of the week and communication around practice days or changes consistent. Additional OST roles may be available between seasons. This is a seasonal role for the 25-26 School Year and will be paid out biweekly.
Responsibilities

Run day to day practices

Supervise students throughout program time

Coach during meets and duals

Maintain uniforms and control distribution and return

Set up and maintain equipment

Communicate with AD, other coach(es) and Director for needs or issues

Travel with team to all meets and duals

Monitor student athlete attendance and academics
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must familiarize themselves with school’s athletic policy for afterschool

All employees must be able to provide Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check Clearance (Act 34), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), Federal Bureau of Investigation Record Check Clearance (Act 114), and Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Clearance (Act 168) before starting work on campus

Qualifications
Minimum Training and Experience

A minimum of two years coaching experience and/or four plus years wrestling experience

Experience working with middle school students preferred
