As a Non Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy team, specializing in the preparation of customized medication formulations. You will work closely with pharmacists to ensure the highest level of patient care, maintain clean and organized workspaces, and adhere to safety protocols. Responsibilities
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable pharmacy rules and regulations
- Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the company
- Strong comprehension of USP 795 and USP 800
- Have a strong working knowledge of pharmacy software
- Prioritize and prepare formula and compounding records
- Compound medications accurately and efficiently
- File necessary paperwork
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties
- Assist with ongoing and month end inventory
- Assist in initial and continuous training of staff
- Pull outdated medications for destruction
- Restock supplies and keep pharmacy neat and orderly
- Maintain compliance with Company patient confidentiality requirements
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
- Must be able to work in a variety of positions locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reach, and walking, for prolonged periods of time
- Potential exposure to chemicals used in the preparation of compounds (some chemicals are classified as toxic and special safety precautions must be taken when working with these chemicals)
- Must be able to use necessary equipment and software such as computers, scanners, or other technology devices as assigned
- Must be able to wear required compounding safety equipment for long periods of time when required
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute.
- High School Diploma or equivalent?
- Appropriate state technician license/registration required
- PTCB certification preferred if not a state requirement
- Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred
- Must be able to read, understand SOPs and all guidelines as they relate to the process?
Salary : $20 - $25
