Overview

Bellwether is seeking a Product Manager to own and evolve a portfolio of products used by both internal teams and external users. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, this role is based in Dallas, TX and sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and business strategy. You will partner closely with asset management, underwriting, servicing, and other internal teams to understand workflows, translate business needs into product direction, and ensure strong adoption through training, documentation, and enablement. The role requires comfort working with data-intensive platforms and business-critical systems, while applying practical, user-centered discovery and usability principles to ensure solutions are intuitive and effective.


Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not available.

Candidates must be based in Dallas, TX. Relocation will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy and Ownership
  • Define and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with Bellwether’s technology and business objectives
  • Prioritize initiatives across competing internal and external needs, balancing speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability
  • Own product requirements and user stories, ensuring clarity for engineering, analytics, and design partners
  • Incorporate lightweight discovery and validation, such as stakeholder interviews and workflow mapping, to inform product decisions
  • Internal and External Customer Engagement
  • Serve as the primary product partner to internal stakeholders, including asset management, underwriting, servicing, and operations
  • Support products that serve both internal users and external clients, ensuring consistency, security, and usability across audiences
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from internal users and external customers to inform product direction and enhancements
  • Translate complex workflows into clear product requirements, collaborating with engineering and design resources to ensure solutions fit real-world use cases
  • Training, Adoption, and Enablement
  • Lead product training efforts to drive adoption across internal teams
  • Develop and maintain enablement materials such as walkthroughs, documentation, dashboards, and release communications
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure tools are effectively rolled out and embedded into day-to-day workflows
  • Track adoption and usage metrics and proactively address gaps in engagement or understanding
  • Ensure features are delivered with clarity and ease of use, minimizing training overhead and support burden
  • Delivery and Execution
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and data teams to plan, scope, and deliver enhancements across analytics, workflow, and reporting platforms
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release coordination
  • Use simple wireframes or low-fidelity prototypes as needed to align stakeholders and accelerate delivery
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise data standards
  • Measurement and Continuous Improvement
  • Define success metrics and KPIs related to usage, adoption, operational efficiency, and business impact
  • Use data and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve products and processes
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual workflows and improve decision-making through better data access and tooling


Professional Experience & Qualifications
  • Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in financial services, commercial real estate, asset management, or adjacent industries
  • Experience supporting internal business users while also delivering externally facing products or platforms
  • Working knowledge of data and analytics platforms such as Salesforce, Tableau, Sigma, SQL, and Databricks
  • Comfort partnering with data engineering, analytics, and technology teams to define requirements and validate outputs
  • Familiarity with basic UX and usability concepts and comfort collaborating with design resources using Figma
  • Strong ability to translate complex financial and operational workflows into intuitive product solutions
  • Demonstrated success driving adoption through training, enablement, and change management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Dallas-based environment

Education/Certification
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field — required.
  • Candidates with an MBA must also hold an undergraduate technical degree (as above) or demonstrate equivalent, verifiable hands-on technical experience (5 years) in data platforms, integrations, or engineering-facing roles. An MBA alone will not satisfy the minimum education requirement.
  • Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMP/Agile, cloud/data platform certificates) are a plus.

  • Job Knowledge & Technical Ability: Development and analysis of real estate-based financial models with a focus on multifamily, office, and industrial assets. Ability to build out a complex financial model from scratch including waterfalls and various debt structures. Ability to read and analyze investment, lease, and management agreements.
  • Initiative & Dependability: Ability to perform responsibilities independently and proactively, solve problems, and improve processes and/or services. Self-directed, takes initiative and responsibility, ensures completion of tasks.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong listening and interpersonal skills. Highly effective at preparing and presenting information.
  • Professionalism & Teamwork: Acts with honesty and integrity and maintains confidentiality, adheres to company policies. Promotes a collaborative and productive work environment. Demonstrates team building, support and respect.  


Travel Requirements
  • Local and/or nationwide travel to assets and client sites required on an as-needed basis (approximately 1–3 times per quarter, depending on project needs).
