Bells Preschool & Childcare is a licensed, family-owned childcare center serving children ages 2–12. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and build confidence. We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team full-time.
Position Summary
As a Preschool Teacher, you will help create a positive classroom environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with young children, communicates well with families and coworkers, and is passionate about early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development preferred. Classes required are HDEV 2, HDEV 4, HDEV 5, and HDEV 9
- Applicants with at least 6 completed ECE units who are actively enrolled in additional coursework to reach 12 units are also encouraged to apply.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous preschool or childcare experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Must be reliable, patient, organized, and able to work collaboratively with a team.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning and creativity.
- Supervise children throughout the day while maintaining licensing ratios and safety standards.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Assist with meals, classroom organization, and daily routines.
- Perform diaper changes and assist children with toileting as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and healthy classroom.
- Follow all California Community Care Licensing regulations and Bells Preschool policies.
Schedule
- Full-time position (40 hrs per week)
- Monday–Friday
- Scheduled within our operating hours of 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
