What are the responsibilities and job description for the BFA Fairfax Middle School Girls Basketball Coach 7/8 position at Bellows Free Academy Fairfax?
The successful candidate will foster skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive athletic experience while helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court. The coach will work collaboratively with the Athletic Director, fellow coaches, families, and school staff to support the mission and values of BFA Fairfax.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and conducting practices and games
Teaching basketball fundamentals and sportsmanship
Creating a positive, inclusive team culture
Promoting student-athlete growth, effort, and character
Following school, district, and VPA policies and procedures
Maintaining effective communication with athletes, families, and the Athletic Director
Previous coaching or playing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be able to meet all district and VPA coaching requirements, including background checks and required certifications.
