Part Time Direct Support Professional - Meaningful Day

At Bello Machre, our Meaningful Day Direct Support Professionals provide loving care and support in the community throughout Anne Arundel County for people with developmental disabilities. Our employees help the people we serve to learn independent living skills, plan activities in the community, and implement person-centered plans. Additionally, our employees assist individuals in obtaining and accessing appropriate social, recreational, educational, and employment services.

The Meaningful Day Position is full-time and hours are typically Monday - Friday, typically 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have a current driver’s license with no more than 5 points
• Must display a genuine interest in the well-being of adults with developmental disabilities
• Must display a positive attitude when interacting with others
• Must be able to teach skills, provide support, and build on each individual’s strengths and capabilities

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with participating as fully as they wish in all aspects of community life
• Assists individuals to become active participant in their community and to build natural support networks.

• Support and promote individuals by providing choice in obtaining employment, educational, social, and recreational services
