What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Bellisio Foods, Inc.?
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for organizing the overall maintenance of the plant and for assisting the maintenance and production management teams with planning and scheduling for all programs which support the maintenance strategy for Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and Vendor/Contractor Management.
Qualifications:
Collaborate with all departments to establish or improve existing programs to proactively address safety and other policies;
Supervise the day-to-day activities of routine and emergency maintenance;
Maintain SOP's to keep the facility ready for customer inspections as well as regulatory inspections;
Possess the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues;
Review of previous work orders and tasks as they apply to daily, weekly, and monthly plant schedules;
Review reports to ensure they are accurate and mechanics time is accounted for;
Coordinate and assign work orders;
Follow-up and provide supervisory support to maintenance staff;
Ensure all operations meet Safety and Quality standards and practices;
Attend daily meetings with the operations group;
Be responsible for 4 to 8 mechanics.
Education:
5-10 years’ experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial setting performing electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably within a food or pharmaceutical environment, with 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity;
Bachelor’s degree preferred, although Associates degree and/or closely related experience may be accepted;
Must be familiar with gearboxes, AC/DC controls, PLCs and related instrumentation;
Strong hands-on technical skills;
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills;
Computer skills with MS Office;
Strong organizational skills;
Ability to work weekends as required.
