Title: ESY Paraeducators Sub Separate - Preschool (4 day)
Department: Special Education Extended School Year (ESY)
Positions: Total number of positions to be determined by student enrollment
Salary: $26.00/Per Hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
To teach children with various disabilities to ensure that students gain skills in academics, socialization, and communication with the goal of building independence in all areas of their lives. All recommended therapies will be provided during this time.
Position Description: Paraeducators are responsible for implementing programming for
students who receive all or most of their academic instruction in the substantially separate setting.
The number of Paraeducators required for each program will be determined by enrollment.
Program Dates:
07/06/2026 through 08/06/2026 (5 weeks)
Days and Times:
Monday through Wednesday (4 days)
Elementary
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Secondary
9:00a.m. 1:00 p.m.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. In addition to the program hours, a Paraeducator’s schedule will include 1 hour of prep per day to be scheduled before or after class hours, or in two thirty-minute periods – one before, and one after class hours. This time is for preparing materials, recording data, professional development, consulting with teachers and/or related service providers. In order to receive prep time compensation, you must be in your assigned building.
2. Adheres to the adopted policies and procedures of the Bellingham School Committee.

Location: DiPietro Elementary
Grade Level: Kindergarten through Grade 3
Bellingham Memorial and High School Paraeducator
Location - Bellingham Memorial School
Grade Level - Grades 4 - 12
Qualifications:
1. Preference will be given to applicants who have worked with students with mild to moderate special needs.
