Job Description / Essential Elements: Bellflower Unified School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher to provide individualized and specialized physical education instruction to students with disabilities as determined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The APE teacher works closely with special education teams and general physical education staff to support student access and success in physical education.
Requirements / Qualifications
*Valid California Teaching Credential in Physical Education. *Adapted Physical Education Authorization or added authorization required. *CLAD/BCLAD certification or English Learner authorization preferred. *Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred. *Valid California Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation. *Knowledge of adapted physical education strategies, equipment, and best practices. *Experience with IEP development and implementation. *Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. *Resume *Cover Letter *Transcripts (unofficial accepted for application) *Three (3) Current Letters of Recommendation (dated within the last 12 months)
