Bellevue Taphouse is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic server/bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Server or Bartender, you will be responsible for waiting tables, serving food, pouring beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. Your ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. Ideally, we are looking for someone to jump in right away and work combination of 2 to 3 shifts weeknights and weekends.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Serve food and wait on tables.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders to guests at the bar.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol responsibly and adhere to all legal regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Assist in training new staff members on bar operations and customer service standards.
- Participate in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting any shortages.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in serving/bartending or a related hospitality role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Knowledge of mixology, beverage preparation techniques, and food service practices.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Must be at least 21 years of age in accordance with legal requirements.
