Studio Assistant - Bellevue Fine Art Reproduction
Hours: 32 hours a week (this includes a paid lunch hour)
Pay: $20-25/hour DOE
benefits: $200 monthly health insurance stipend
paid time off: 2 weeks paid time off during Christmas/New Years, two weeks paid leave of your choice
About Bellevue Fine Art Reproduction:
We are a fine art reproduction studio in Bellevue, WA, specializing in the scanning and printing of original artwork. We work closely with artists across the greater Seattle area to capture high-resolution images of their work and produce giclée prints. Each member of our team has a fine art background and is dedicated to preserving the integrity of artists' work throughout the reproduction process.
This position requires 32 per week, Tuesday - Friday. Reliable transportation to our studio in Bellevue is necessary (We are also one block from the South Bellevue Way Light rail station. If you're passionate about art and eager to deepen your understanding of fine art reproduction, we'd love to hear from you!
What you'll do:
Your primary responsibility will be cutting, packing and helping with giclée print orders, helping with customers, and sundry office help. Since our workload varies, there will be many opportunities to learn about our reproduction process and gain hands-on experience in a professional art setting.
· Cut, pack and ship giclée prints
· manage large format printers
· Handle original artworks for scanning
· Assist with customer service (receiving artwork drop-offs, handing out print orders for pickup)
· Help maintain a tidy studio environment
Required Education and Experience:
· We prefer that you have a degree or background in art
Preferred Skills and Abilities (not required, but a plus):
· Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
· Strong attention to detail
· An eye for capturing visually appealing content for social media
· Basic office and organizational skills
