Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk with hospitality industry experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hospitality accounting practices and be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and account reconciliations.
This position plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day financial operations while maintaining positive relationships with vendors and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable files and records.
- Work closely with operations managers to verify invoices and expenses.
- Monitor hospitality-related expenses, including food, beverage, supplies, utilities, and service contracts.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues professionally.
- Assist with month-end closing and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Strong understanding of invoice processing, account reconciliations, and vendor management.
- Experience working with high-volume invoices and multiple vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with RAMP, Sage Accounting, and electronic invoice management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
