Overview
We are seeking a CMT (Certified Medication Technician)
This role is essential in providing quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being in an assisted living or memory care environment.
Duties
- Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes in their health status.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide care for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for patient management and documentation.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology knowledge, and vital signs monitoring.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems such Point Click Care documentation.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in hospice care is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient safety measures.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and their families.
