The Bellefonte YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Water Fitness Instructor to lead engaging group exercise classes in the pool. If you're passionate about fitness and enjoy motivating others, we'd love to hear from you. Previous aquatic fitness experience is welcomed but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead safe, effective, and engaging water fitness classes for participants of varying fitness levels.
- Demonstrate and instruct proper exercise techniques while providing modifications as needed.
- Create a welcoming, positive, and motivating environment for all participants.
- Monitor participant safety and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Complete required class documentation, including attendance records and lesson plans.
- Build positive relationships with YMCA members and encourage continued participation.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of health, wellness, and group fitness principles.
- Training, education, certification, or experience in a fitness-related field.
- Previous group fitness experience preferred; aquatic fitness experience is not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage participants of all ages and abilities.

- Starting Pay: $14.00 per hour
