- Assist with day-to-day operations of human resources functions and duties.
- Coordinates recruitment needs such as: review, prepare and post job openings.
- Assists prospective employees in providing complete information necessary for the application process; assists prospects with the online application process.
- Prepare new hire onboarding and welcome packets.
- Handle incoming Human Resources central emails and calls.
- Assist with Human Resources reporting
- Establishes and maintains effective working relations with all employees as well as the general public.
- Report new hires, transfers, resignations for board approvals.
- Ensures employee staff directory on district's website is up-to-date.
- Maintain, manage and update the Human Resources page of District website.
- Maintains accurate and secure personnel records for all employee groups.
- Track and maintain compliance with all staff clearances.
- Maintain all job descriptions.
- Verifies employment as necessary.
- Coordinate years of service awards.
- Track and make any changes to yearly benefit statements.
- Track and maintain evaluations for all employees within the district.
- Process classified employee record changes as needed.
- Serve as a resource person on personnel procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Provide back up when Coordinator and Director are out of office.
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Human Resources Director.

Minimum: High school diploma or its equivalent
Preferred: Associate Degree, equivalent years of office experience will be considered - Minimum: Proficiency in computer applications. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Preferred: Experience in Human Resources.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and state and government regulations.
- Excellent ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information using a variety of medium and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Good moral character (School Code 1002).

Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Specialist performs a variety of confidential duties. The specialist provides administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the district's human resources department.
