POSITION SUMMARY
Golf Administration Aide, with average difficulty, performs detailed clerical tasks, maintains records, and prepares summaries. May require independent judgment in the disposition of routine matters without direct supervision. Will work under the direct supervision of the Golf Admin Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides support for the department. In addition to other duties as assigned, will perform clerical skills including the exercise of control over a specified number of schedules. Will learn BVVPOA policies and department procedures. Will research and resolve member issues in a timely fashion.
- Exhibits excellent customer service skills.
- Imports and maintains information into the current golf or accounting software program.
- Types/updates reports, correspondence, letters, and other documents.
- Sorts, indexes and files work orders, letters, and other documents, alphabetically, chronologically, numerically, electronically or by other predetermined classifications.
- Answers routine telephone requests or refers callers to the proper person or department demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Processes member payments from check and ACH. Reconcile accounts.
- Prepares bank deposits and end of day closing processes.
- Composes letters in response to community requests.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must have a one-year certificate from college or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required.
- Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong computer background and the ability to learn and operate various industry-specific programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must always work safely.
- Must possess superior customer service skills.
- Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Specific required movements include the following: trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry, arm’s reach, and leg-lifts.
