What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping and Laundry Aide position at Bella Terra Nursing & Rehabilitation St. George?
Bella Terra St. George is a skilled nursing facility looking to hire a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and hallways in accordance with facility policies and infection control standards
- Perform daily and scheduled cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident and facility laundry according to established procedures
- Handle soiled linens and clothing using proper PPE and infection prevention practices
- Ensure adequate stocking of cleaning and laundry supplies and notify supervisor when supplies are low
- Properly operate and maintain housekeeping and laundry equipment; report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
- Follow safety guidelines, including chemical handling and storage protocols
- Assist with terminal cleaning of rooms as needed
- Respond promptly and courteously to resident, visitor, and staff requests
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information at all times
- Adhere to all facility policies, state and federal regulations, and CMS requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Physical ability to perform job duties including standing, bending, lifting, and pushing carts
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
