Job Title: Social Media Retail Sales Associate
Job Description:
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Social Media Sales Associate to join our team! This role is primarily in-store, assisting customers and driving sales as a retail sales associate, while also supporting our Marketing Manager with social media tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in-store, providing excellent service
- Drive sales and promote products effectively
- Maintain in-store merchandising standards and ensure displays are visually appealing
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system
- Monitor inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with inventory counts
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges courteously
- Support in-store promotions and special events
- Assist the Marketing Manager with social media content creation, posting, and engagement
- Help with marketing initiatives, promotions, and in-store events
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
Social Media Skills:
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social platforms
- Basic content creation: photos, short videos, captions, and hashtags
- Posting and scheduling content using tools like Meta Business Suite or Later
- Engaging with followers through comments, messages, and community interaction
- Understanding of brand voice, tone, and visual style
- Basic analytics: likes, comments, reach, impressions, and what content performs best
- Optional: basic graphic design using Canva or similar tools, awareness of social trends
Requirements:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Availability to work approximately 15–20 hours per week
- Weekday availability is required, along with availability for rotating weekend shifts
- Set availability is welcome; however, scheduled days and hours may vary from week to week based on the needs of the business
- Candidates should be comfortable with a part-time schedule that may include a mix of full and shorter shifts
- Friendly, dependable, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
- Candidates selected for an interview may be asked to provide examples of previous social media content, photography, Canva/graphic design work, or other relevant creative work
