What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation - 2nd Shift position at Bell & Evans?
JOB SUMMARY:
To safely clean and sanitize processing rooms and equipment while understanding and complying with all Food Safety and Safety policies and procedures. Perform self-inspection (pre-op) in preparation for inspection by Quality Assurance and USDA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
· Using high-pressure hoses and chemical applications, clean all equipment being used by production.
· Make sure to follow and know all 7 Steps of Sanitation
· Perform self-inspection (pre-op) of all general areas (floors, drains, walls, etc.) and equipment in preparation for Quality Assurance and USDA
· Ensure all equipment meets sanitation standards as required by USDA and ensure the room is ready on time for production to start processing.

· Must be able to least 20 pounds consistently.
· Exposure to toxic chemicals and fumes; personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required. PPE must be always worn while performing tasks.
· Able to work in wet, hot, humid, and or even cold conditions. (must wear PPE)
· Able to effectively communicate with supervisor and team member
