JOB SUMMARY: (See the Job Description for a comprehensive list of duties):
The responsibility of the Janitorial and Laundry Associate is to maintain sanitary conditions and or laundry services in assigned areas of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
- Sweep all walkways
- Gather and empty all trash inside and outside of the facility
- Clean, service, and supply all restrooms and common areas
- Clean inside windows
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Run floor machine to clean large floor areas
- Cleans and maintains offices areas, (sweeping, mopping, dusting furniture and ceiling vents)
- Clean and maintain cafeteria (sweeping and mopping floors, microwaves, refrigerator, shelving, and empty trash
- Takes trash to compactor
- Operates laundry machines
- Sorts dirty laundry
- Sorts and hangs clean smocks
- Collects dirty laundry cards around the facility
- Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum education needed.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish, such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete checklists.
