About the Role:

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals to our residents and patients. You will work closely with our dietary team to ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards and meet the dietary needs of our patients and residents. You will maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and ensure that all food is stored and handled properly.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and kitchen protocols

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards

• Ensure that all food is stored and handled properly, minimizing food waste and spoilage

• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure that meals are prepared to meet the dietary needs of patients and residents

• Monitor and maintain inventory of food and supplies, and place orders as needed

• Participate in menu planning and recipe development

• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, waste, and usage

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Prior cooking experience preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
