Overview
A rapidly growing, innovative financial services firm is seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter to join its finance team. This individual will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations and supporting leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role is going to be titled a Finance Manager, but acts as a Senior Accountant within the department, and will report directly to the CFO.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions across multiple U.S. entities, including AP, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support. The position works closely with senior leadership and offers strong visibility and hands-on exposure to the broader finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes
- Perform bank account maintenance and reconciliations
- Administer expense systems and ensure accurate reporting
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger activity
- Support detailed financial reporting and analysis
- Assist with annual audits and provide supporting documentation
- Maintain vendor relationships and handle correspondence
- Partner directly with senior finance leadership on ad hoc initiatives
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong Microsoft Excel and overall MS Office proficiency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage 300 preferred, not required)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: ~$90K (commensurate with experience)
- Discretionary bonus: ~20–25%
