Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Field Operations Manager to oversee our seasonal lawn care and winter snow operations. This dual-role position is perfect for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor work environment and excels in team management, quoting, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Lawn Care Operations (Spring–Fall):
- Schedule, supervise, and execute all lawn care services including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, and seasonal cleanups
- Monitor turf health and ensure high-quality service delivery
- Inspect completed jobs and resolve service issues proactively
Snow & Ice Management (Winter):
- Plan and execute snow plowing, salting, and de-icing operations for commercial clients
- Coordinate on-call response and ensure crews are prepared for storms
- Maintain equipment readiness and enforce safety protocols
Quoting & Estimating:
- Conduct site visits, prepare estimates, and manage service proposals
- Track awarded contracts and transition smoothly to active scheduling
Team Leadership & Scheduling:
- Supervise lawn and snow crews, delegate work, and manage attendance/performance
- Provide seasonal onboarding, training, and safety instruction
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, vehicles, and equipment
Client Communication & Service Delivery:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding schedules, quotes, and service concerns
- Maintain accurate job logs and update service software for billing and reporting
Operational Oversight:
- Conduct site checks, review job profitability, and report to leadership
- Coordinate equipment repairs and vendor relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in landscaping or snow operations, including crew leadership
- Strong organizational, communication, and team management skills
- Knowledge of turf health, seasonal landscaping, and snow management practices
- Experience preparing quotes and estimates for recurring contracts
- Flexibility for on-call and weekend work, especially during winter storms
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) and CDL license are a plus
- OSHA -10 a plus
