What You'll Do
The base pay for this position ranges from $135,000 -$145,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 30% of an employee’s annual base salary. What You'll Do
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Regional Application Consultants, ensuring alignment with sales strategies and company objectives.
- Sales Support: Oversee team efforts to cultivate strong relationships with end users and consulting engineers through product training, technical recommendations, and issue resolution.
- Strategic Coordination: Collaborate with District Sales Managers (DSMs) to develop and execute strategies that drive qualitative and quantitative objectives in the Contracting Business.
- Applications Excellence: Ensure the team provides expert guidance on Belimo product applications to maintain and grow repeat business through service, relationship-building, and technical expertise.
- Specification Development: Lead efforts to write and influence specifications for consulting engineers and end users, working closely with Product Management and Engineering to develop Master Belimo Specifications.
- New Business Development: Guide the team in identifying new product applications and communicating concepts to Product Management and Engineering to support new business opportunities.
- Training & Development: Oversee the creation and delivery of technical training programs, including Lunch & Learns and Belimo University Programs, to enhance customer and team knowledge.
- Project Tracking: Monitor new consulting engineering and end user projects, ensuring the team provides timely leads to sales managers.
- Issue Resolution: Support the team in troubleshooting product issues at customer sites, working with DSMs and Field Sales Engineers to resolve challenges effectively.
- Tool Utilization: Ensure the team effectively uses sales tools such as Best and Select Pro to drive productivity and results.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize team processes, enhance service delivery, and improve application support strategies.
- Special Projects: Lead or participate in committees and special projects as requested by senior management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related discipline) preferred.
- Experience:
- 7 years of experience in consulting engineering or applicable HVAC/technical field.
- 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a technical sales or consulting role.
- Proven track record of driving sales through relationship-building and technical expertise.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude in HVAC systems and applications, with expertise in Belimo products preferred.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer applications.
- Familiarity with sales tools such as Best and Select Pro.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with experience delivering technical training.
- Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a remote team and work independently from a home office.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within the region (approximately 50%)
