What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Belfonte Ice Cream & Dairy Foods Co.?
Belfonte currently has 2 full-time openings for machine operator at our plant. These are a full-time positions with benefits after successful completion of 30 day introductory period. This position is responsible for but no limited to; monitoring product codes, weights, and changeovers. Must be able to communicate with others as needed. Must ensure correctness of product being produced and complete needed documentation of weights, lot numbers, etc. Must be able to perform basic math and write legibly. Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions. Must be able to lift 50 pounds continuously during the shift. Must be able to work in a hot humid environment. Must keep work area safe and clean and work in a safe and efficient manner. Must be able to set up and operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Must have a good work history. These are FULL time positions. Start time is typically between 530am & 7am and ends when production is finished. Overtime is NECESSARY at times & weekend work is also NECESSARY at times.
Belfonte offers excellent benefits and a weekly paycheck. Health insurance cost $28.94 to $113.00 per week; depending on coverage level. Dental is free for all employees and only $8.00 per week for family. Other benefits offered are vision insurance, short/long term disability, life insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, and paid personal time. Belfonte has an excellent retirement plan with a company contribution of up to 15% of your annual gross.
