What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly/Production Worker position at PRIER Products, Inc.?
The Production Worker will be responsible to produce finished goods. The candidate must make productive contributions through talent, knowledge, job skills and good work habits.
The candidate must be able to work independently of direct supervision and as a member of a team. He or she must show that they have integrity, honesty, and the ability to actively handle situations tactfully. The candidate must respectfully and consistently support the success of the manufacturing department.
Requirements and Duties:
· High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, push and pull for extended periods of time.
· Follows all Company Policies and Procedures and within work practice guidelines of OSHA standards.
· Demonstrates learned skills (e.g., soldering, swaging, preparing, testing, boxing, labeling, and assembling units) in accordance with safety and quality standards.
· Mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools to build and assemble.
· Can read and understand jobs and the bill of materials to ascertain materials to be used.
· Able to produce finished goods upon completion using PLEX software system.
· Assures work instructions are followed and the highest standard of quality is maintained in accordance with safety and quality standards.
· Able to keep a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S requirements.
· Conducts Preventative Maintenance tasks on process equipment, and reports maintenance issues using the work order process.
· Demonstrates the ability to think and communicate improvements or problems.
· Makes recommendations to Supervisor/Lead concerning machinery and industrial improvements to promote a Lean Manufacturing environment.
· Keeps Supervisor/Lead informed of safety, quality, production, and inventory issues.
· Self-motivated and helpful in all areas of production, willing to learn new methods, be cross-trained and moved to other areas when needed.
· Records or reports production scrap, first past yield, and other metrics in accordance with daily production reporting via PRIER’s ERP system.
· Works positively as a team member, fits in and contributes to the team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
· Contributes positive attitude and embraces PRIER’s Mission.
· Excellent history of attendance and punctuality, and schedules time off in advance while having responsibilities covered.
THIS IS 1st SHIFT POSITION, Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 2:30PM
