General Manager – Food and Nutrition Services

We’re hiring an experienced General Manager to lead food & nutrition operations at a 900-bed hospital in Washington, DC. In this high-impact role, you’ll oversee patient dining, retail food services, catering, and physician dining, ensuring excellence in quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage day-to-day food & nutrition operations
• Develop strategic plans and meet financial goals
• Build strong partnerships with nursing and clinical teams
• Oversee patient meal service, retail, and catering operations
• Drive team engagement and compliance with DC regulations
• Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and satisfaction
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of leadership in healthcare food service
• Experience managing patient dining, retail, and catering
• Proven ability to build nursing/clinical partnerships
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (DC a plus)
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills

• Experience in large-scale healthcare settings
