SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST
POSITION SUMMARY: As part of a large project team, responsible for defining, developing and delivering technology solutions through collaboration with brand/business leaders to gather business requirements, create detailed functional specifications, collaborate with development resources, provide quality assurance oversight and guide brand/business teams through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and solution implementation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Requirements Analysis:
- Lead business requirements gathering process by responsibly collecting, analyzing, reviewing, documenting, and communicating business needs to ensure the proposed solutions meet business requirements.
- Employ techniques to derive information e.g. business process mapping/modeling, As-Is/To-Be business process analysis, business process reengineering.
- Collaborate with brand/business, related functional areas, development and/or other stakeholder teams to identify user requirements and recommend solution options.
- Document work, including change requests and functional specifications, and manage changes to documentation.
Solution Implementation:
- Apprise program management team of progress; keep program management aware of issues, potential problems and mitigation plans.
- Test system changes/enhancements related to assigned business processes to ensure changes satisfy business requirements with no negative impact.
- Assist in the development of end user documentation including help document instructions and release notes.
SKILLS DESIRED:
- Confidently takes initiative; independent, self-motivated.
- Demonstrates being a respectful listener.
- Quickly becomes part of the team.
- Keeps focused; ability to manage multiple, changing priorities.
- Comfortable playing a leadership role with technical and business resources.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Functional experience in retail industry a plus.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years Information Systems/Business-related experience within systems/applications of assigned area.
- Understanding and experience integrating technical services which support applications and users in the organization.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience.
