What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Manager - Foodservice & Convenience position at Bel?
Job Description Summary
“Out of Home” (foodservice and convenience channels) are strategic growth “big bets” for Bel in the United States, and this role carries the responsibility of creating and leveling-up our presence in these channels. You will build and execute a strategic growth plan, develop B2B and B2C marketing plans that support the growth, and execute best-in-class demand-driving initiatives to elevate our performance and deliver against aggressive ambitions.
As the sole marketer responsible for these channels, you thrive in ambiguous and autonomous settings. You’re a self-starter who can identify and address problems and opportunities. You’re comfortable trying new initiatives, knowing that not everything will work perfectly on the first try. You recognize that data availability can be scarce in these channels, but you’re comfortable operating in ambiguous, data-scarce situations, and you turn the data that is available into command of the business, past and future. You have a track record of collaborating with and influencing cross-functionals and senior leaders. You inspire trust, giving and receiving constructive feedback with a spirit of continuous improvement.
An ideal candidate has experience in the foodservice and convenience channels. Experience outside of these channels is also a plus. That’s because you believe that the principles of marketing apply similarly, whether the audience is a business or an individual. You’re experienced in trade shows, creative and media planning, earned/PR, shopper, and partnership marketing. You ruthlessly collaborate with Sales and brand owners.
The role reports to the Sr. Director of Innovation Cheese and US OOH Marketing and carries high internal and external visibility. The position is hybrid, based in Chicago or New York.
