- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation
- Partner with managers to provide guidance on performance management, coaching, and employee development
- Administer and support employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and employee communications
- Manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, workers’ compensation, and other statutory leaves) in compliance with applicable laws
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including I-9 verification and audits
- Support payroll operations and maintain HRIS data integrity; act as backup for payroll processing as needed
- Coordinate onboarding processes and new hire orientation to ensure a seamless new hire experience
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Maintain and update organizational charts, HR metrics, and turnover reports
- Collaborate with staffing agencies and support contingent workforce processes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs that enhance employee engagement and retention
- Support annual benefits open enrollment and related communications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- SHRM Certification highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Strong business acumen, critical evaluation, ethical practice, problem solving and strong analytical skills.
