What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beignet Chef position at Beignets & Brew?
Summary of Responsibilities
Here at Beignets and Brew, we want to bring a positive, youthful, fun vibe while our guests stop by for a quick pick-me-up or a place to sit back and relax while enjoying our delicious beignets, coffee and beer/wine! We want to ensure our guests have a very memorable experience from the beginning to the end. This company started because of a simple beignet idea. Beignets are what we are known for – it’s even in our name! Your goal as a Beignet Chef is to inspire customers through your cooking and keep them coming back for more. We want our customers to be a part of the Beignets and Brew Family!
Essential Functions:
- Heats fryer up and makes sure oil is in temp.
- Uses a timer for certain products.
- Takes out frozen beignets and places them on baking sheets.
- Cut whole beignets into beignet bites.
- Warms up all sauces.
- Preps/stocks certain items throughout the shift.
- Keeps track of all ticket orders and ticket times.
- Cleans and sanitizes the designated station(s) and all equipment.
- Washes dishes.
- Takes out trash.
- Performs any additional tasks necessary to help Krewe members/managers.
Required Experience:
- Must be able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
- Carries a positive attitude to ALL Krewe members and managers, even while under pressure.
- Ability to maintain face-to-face interaction and communication with guests and Krewe members
- Ability to walk and stand throughout the shifts.
- Ability to bend, lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- May be required to work late nights, weekends & holidays.
- Guest may want to sit on the patio area outside (weather permitting) and patio area needs to be cleaned and presentable at all times.
- Krewe members must be in full uniform and appropriate hygiene is required.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
