Fabrication Shop Assistant
- Assist with fabrication and building of materials assigned.
- Assist with the maintenance of sound wall materials including pressure washing and painting.
- Work together with operations groups to schedule and load freight.
- Assist in managing inventory (including supplies, tools and equipment), ordering, incoming delivery processing, storage, loading and dispatching job materials, and job return processing.
- Assist with maintenance of equipment and fleet, such as, but not limited to: completing the fleet vehicle inspection reports, greasing forks, changing out propane, washing/ cleaning vehicles and/or equipment, checking oil of equipment/ fleet, etc.
- Complete inventory counts for various products/material as directed.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and staging of materials, as necessary.
- Assist with product installs, removals, or deliveries if required.
- Assist with picking up shop supplies when needed.
- Assist with yard cleaning sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
- Assist with facility maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, moving furniture, and minor repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in dirty and noisy areas.
- Demonstrated ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical requirements of the role (see below)
- Demonstrated ability to work on high places from ladders, scaffolds, platforms occasionally
- Operating hand and power tools required
- Operating equipment such as forklifts, skid steers and boom lifts preferred
- Rigging up and using equipment to move heavy loads preferred
- Welding experience preferred
- Construction experience preferred
- Upholstery / Vinyl experience preferred
Required Education/Knowledge/Licensure:
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record/ eligibility to be on the Company’s insurance policy.
