Depending on your experience and professional development, you may be considered for one of the above roles, each with increasing responsibilities and leadership opportunities.

  • Program Development & Implementation: Design, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to maximize client progress.
  • Data Oversight & Analysis: Ensure the accurate collection of data and the timely reporting of client progress and outcomes. Use data to make informed treatment decisions.
  • Supervision of RBTs: Oversee and support RBTs with the daily execution of therapy and provide guidance to ensure they meet best practice standards.
  • Light Travel: Occasional travel to client homes, schools, and community settings for assessments, parent education, and program implementation

Specific Responsibilities for Higher-Level Roles (BCBA II & BCBA III):

  • BCBA II/BCBA III: As a BCBA II or III, you will have additional responsibilities, including taking a leadership role in program development, conducting formal evaluations, and mentoring less experienced BCBAs and RBTs.
  • Leadership & Consultation: Provide consultation to teachers and parents about intervention strategies, curriculum modifications, and behavior management.
  • Case Supervision: Take on a greater caseload and responsibility for treatment plans, evaluations, and ongoing client assessments.
