Phoenix Residential Reentry Center is looking for an Assistant Cook in our residential program for the ex-offender population. The appropriate candidate will possess the following:

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Collaborate effectively with team members
• Serv Safe Certified
• High School Diploma

Responsibilities :

• Following all Health Department Rules/Procedures/Guidelines
• Following pre-approved menu
• Portion Control
• Kitchen Cleanliness
• Prep and cook food that is tasty, pleasing to the eye and healthy.
• Prep and cook special diet food that is tasty, pleasing to the eye and healthy.
• Must be able to work some holidays and weekend days.

Military veteran, retired law enforcement, and other experiences in a correctional facility are welcomed and encouraged to apply!

At the time of application submission, the candidate MUST provide a 3 year DMV printout. A resume can be attached to the application, at that time. The candidate must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation. Resumes are not accepted in lieu of filling out an application.

We accomplish this goal by providing comprehensive reintegration services to the ex-offender population in residential and non-residential settings. The services we provide focus on individual skill building, accomplished through individual and/or group activities, all the while focusing on staff development and professional growth in order to provide effective services to those we serve. BSS seeks to empower individuals by providing them with the knowledge and training necessary to address existing behavior issues, identify solutions to future problems, and live a productive, self-supporting, clean and sober, crime-free life.
