Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Property Damage Legal Assistant role based in Tempe, AZ. The Property Damage Legal Assistant will support attorneys in managing property damage aspects of personal injury accident cases, including opening new files, gathering documentation, and maintaining organized case records. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence, requesting and tracking repair estimates and rental information, communicating with clients, insurance companies, and body shops, and updating case management systems. The role also involves scheduling, filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks to keep case files current and accurate. The ideal candidate will work closely with attorneys and legal staff to move cases forward efficiently, meet deadlines, and provide timely updates to clients and internal team members.
Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of law and legal processes, particularly related to personal injury and property damage.
- Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting letters, forms, and basic pleadings with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, including clear, professional verbal and written communication with clients, insurers, and colleagues.
- Experience providing administrative assistance in a legal or professional office, including scheduling, file management, and data entry.
- Prior experience as a legal assistant, legal support professional, or similar role in a law firm or legal department.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort using case management software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and standard office technology.
