RN Supervisor

Job Purpose:
- The RN Supervisor at Behavioral Health Services Inc is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within the behavioral health setting. This role involves managing the daily operations of the nursing department, coordinating patient care activities, and implementing healthcare policies to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to clinical standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring that all treatments are administered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication across departments.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to improve health outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss updates, challenges, and improvements in patient care.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently to optimize patient care services.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and senior management, advocating for staff needs and patient care improvements.

Required Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing nursing care plans and protocols.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide nursing staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in clinical assessment and decision-making skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently, ensuring patient and staff safety.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in behavioral health nursing.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.

Salary : $50 - $55
