As a Clinical Intern in our Respite program, you’ll gain supervised experience supporting youth with behavioral health needs in a structured, team-based environment. You will observe and participate in therapeutic programming, help promote safety and engagement, and contribute to a positive experience for the children and families we serve.
Responsibilities Include
- Support youth in the program through therapeutic interactions, skill-building activities, and positive behavioral reinforcement
- Assist staff in implementing individualized interventions and daily programming designed to promote safety, stability, and engagement
- Observe client behavior, participate in team discussions, and build practical knowledge of behavioral health care in a respite setting
- Complete required documentation, maintain confidentiality, and follow program policies, procedures, and clinical guidance
- Collaborate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members while developing foundational clinical skills through mentorship and feedback
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with youth, families, and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred; bilingual/bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply
