What You Will Do
- Generates authorization, failed revenue, and eligibility reports on a day-to-day basis to proactively manage the front-end revenue cycle.
- Implements, monitors, and maintains prior authorization and ensures authorizations are obtained in accordance with the insurance timely filing deadlines and entered correctly into EHR system.
- Works with program staff to obtain authorization for additional visits as needed to eliminate or minimize non-covered services.
- Enters all changes to client data, including demographic and insurance information, into Carelogic with a high degree of accuracy, correcting any errors.
- Collaborates with appropriate program or department staff to resolve problematic trends, errors generated within the EHR, or to communicate on clinical data required to obtain approved authorization.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of related experience required.
- Ability to schedule, meet, and maintain daily and monthly routines, as well as preserve the integrity of the EHR.
- Familiarity with mental health and substance abuse billing guidelines.
- Good analytic and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of credit/debit payment posting procedures.
- This is a remote position. Seeking candidates who reside in New England as occasional travel to Massachusetts may be required.
