- The Assistant Child Care Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Child Services Coordinator with the design, implementation, and administration of a comprehensive therapeutic program for children of program participants.
- Help to assess child and family needs and plan appropriate therapeutic interventions, including family, individual and group counseling, play therapy and educational seminars.
- Along with the Program Director and/or the Clinical Supervisor, monitor the program's progress, instituting new programs and interventions as appropriate.
- Assist in maintaining the weekly childcare schedule.
- Maintain electronic charts and various childcare reports.
- Assist in the coordination of services and acts as liaison with other providers such as daycare centers, schools and summer camps.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Able to build rapport with substance use population and families.
- Compassion, understanding and empathy for those working on their recovery from addiction.
- Proficient with MS Office, internet and email systems.
- Ability to engage with children and families.
