Position Summary

At Behavioral Health Allies Early Intervention (BHA EI), the BCBA serves as a clinical leader providing compassionate, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to young children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities.

The BCBA designs and oversees individualized treatment programs that promote communication, social-emotional development, adaptive skills, independence, and school readiness. This role partners with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to create meaningful developmental progress across clinic, home, school, and community settings.

The BCBA is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, analyzing data, coaching caregivers, supervising clinical staff, and ensuring high-quality ABA services aligned with BACB standards, state licensure requirements, payer regulations, and BHA policies.

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the ability to maintain supervision of children, implement behavior support strategies, respond to behavioral escalation, and assist with activities of daily living as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, or related field 
• Current BCBA certification and applicable Missouri/Kansas LBA licensure 
• Completion of BACB-approved 8-hour supervision training 
• Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting children with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs preferred 
• Experience in early intervention, pediatric, clinic, educational, or ABA settings preferred 
• Experience supervising RBTs, BCaBAs/LaBAs, or clinical staff preferred 

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of ABA principles, FBAs, BIPs, skill acquisition programming, and data-based decision-making 
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and early childhood development 
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills 
• Ability to coach and develop clinical staff 
• Strong organization, time management, and documentation skills 
• Ability to remain professional and effective in high-pressure situations 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical data management systems 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

• Conduct assessments, FBAs, skills assessments, and developmental evaluations. 
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans. 
• Analyze clinical data and adjust programming to support meaningful progress. 
• Ensure interventions are evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with each child’s needs and family goals. 
• Support safe, structured, and engaging therapeutic environments. 

Family & Interdisciplinary Collaboration

• Provide caregiver training and coaching to promote skill development across environments. 
• Partner with families, educators, therapists, and other providers to support consistent care. 
• Assist families with transitions into school, community, and less restrictive environments. 
• Advocate for the developmental and behavioral needs of children and families. 

Staff Supervision & Development

• Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and feedback to RBTs, BCaBAs/LaBAs, and assigned team members. 
• Train staff on ABA principles, treatment procedures, behavior supports, and clinical expectations. 
• Monitor treatment fidelity through observations, data review, and ongoing coaching. 
• Promote consistency and quality across all therapy environments. 

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Maintain compliance with BACB ethical standards, licensing requirements, payer regulations, and BHA policies. 
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, assessments, progress reports, supervision notes, and billing requirements. 
• Participate in clinical meetings, quality reviews, crisis response, and program improvement initiatives. 
• Maintain required certifications, licensure, and continuing education requirements. 

Other Duties

• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and organizational initiatives. 
• Support crisis response and clinical triage as needed. 
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Starting Salary: Our compensation is competitive within the market. The starting rate for this position begins at $73, 507.20 annually, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications.
