Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Food Runners and Bussers to join our team! In this dynamic role, you'll be the vital link between the kitchen, service staff, and guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations while contributing to a lively, fast-paced environment. We need someone with availability Thursday-Saturday 5-10pm.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service.
- Assist with bussing duties by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils to uphold a tidy dining area.
- Support food safety protocols by handling food carefully and following proper food handling procedures.
- Help with light cleaning duties in dining areas, including sweeping, wiping tables, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to relay guest orders accurately.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy trays or supplies safely, practicing proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of food running and serving techniques.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, positive attitude in person-to-person interactions.
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
