What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Student Success position at Beemok Family Foundation - Meeting Street...?
Who We Are
Every hardworking student deserves an affordable pathway to college—and the opportunity to graduate debt-free.
The Meeting Street Scholarship Fund is a program of the Beemok Family Foundation and was founded to expand access to higher education and cultivate a generation of career-ready college graduates across South Carolina. High-achieving students with demonstrated financial need can receive up to $10,000 per year to cover tuition, fees, housing, and food. Since 2021, the Scholarship Fund has helped make college possible for more than 1,500 students.
But the Meeting Street Scholarship is more than financial support. It is a community and a set of high expectations. We guide students through the financial aid process and equip them to thrive on campus—by embracing challenges, seeking meaningful experiences, building strong relationships, and pursuing excellence in all they do.
Who We’re Looking For
We exist to change the status quo in higher education, and we seek individuals who strongly align with our mission.
We’re looking for individuals who take ownership and care deeply about getting things right for students and partners. This role is the right fit for a leader who thrives at the intersection of higher education and workforce development—someone who is energized by building systems, cultivating partnerships, and holding high expectations for student outcomes.
The Role
The Director of Student Success will lead the strategy and execution of all efforts designed to support Scholarship recipients once they enroll in college — empowering them to graduate on time, debt-free, and fully prepared for strong post-college employment.
This role reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for building the systems, partnerships, and infrastructure that drive first-year success, scholarship retention, meaningful work experience, and employment outcomes. The Director will work directly with students, college partners, employers, and other stakeholders to create a cohesive student experience from college matriculation through career launch. Occasional travel will be required to build relationships with high-potential recipients, college partners, employers, and external partners.
