Beehive Industries is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT organization. This role will provide day-to-day administration of our Microsoft Azure GCC High environment, support Linux-based systems, maintain SQL databases, and contribute to the management of High Performance Computing (HPC) resources used in aerospace engineering and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a focus on security, compliance, and performance in a regulated aerospace/defense environment.

Responsibilities
Microsoft Azure GCC High Administration
- Manage and maintain Azure GCC High infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity services.
- Monitor system performance, patching, and security configurations to ensure compliance with ITAR, DFARS, NIST 800-171, and CMMC requirements.
- Assist in implementing automation and monitoring solutions within GCC High to optimize reliability and uptime.
- Support Linux servers and HPC clusters used for simulation, analysis, and manufacturing workloads.
- Manage user accounts, job scheduling, and resource allocation across HPC environments.
- Implement and monitor system backup, recovery, and failover processes for critical HPC workloads.
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL/MySQL databases in support of business and engineering systems.
- Monitor database health, optimize queries, and perform regular maintenance, including backups and patching.
- Ensure proper security controls are in place for databases storing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
- Apply security patches, maintain system hardening, and monitor environments for vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with the Cybersecurity Analyst to align system administration with DoD IL2–IL6 and CMMC 3.0 standards.
- Document processes, configurations, and controls to support audits and certifications.
- Provide tier 3 support for Windows, Linux, and cloud systems.
- Participate in infrastructure planning, upgrades, and migrations.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to ensure systems are available, secure, and scalable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent work experience considered.
- 3–5 years of systems administration experience, ideally in a regulated industry (aerospace/defense preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure GCC High administration.
- Proficiency with Linux system administration (Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu).
- SQL database administration experience (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
- Familiarity with HPC cluster management and job scheduling systems (e.g., Slurm, PBS, LSF).
- Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization skills.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks: ITAR, NIST 800-171, DFARS, and CMMC 3.0.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
- Experience with infrastructure automation (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) in HPC or cloud environments.
- Familiarity with MES/ERP/PLM integrations in manufacturing environments.
- Active DoD clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
