QMAP Caregiver Midnights

Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a QMAP Caregiver Midnights, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to residents during overnight hours. As a QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel), you will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring resident health, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the night. This position offers an energetic environment where your caregiving skills make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. Your expertise in assisted living, memory care, and medical procedures will help create a secure and nurturing environment for those we serve.

Duties

• Administer medications accurately following established protocols, including oral, topical, and injectable medications when qualified.
• Monitor residents’ vital signs, physical condition, and overall well-being during overnight shifts.
• Assist residents with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and toileting.
• Document all care activities meticulously using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure compliance with HIPAA and medical documentation standards.
• Respond promptly to resident emergencies or changes in condition by following proper procedures and notifying healthcare professionals as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, catheter care guidelines, and safety procedures related to Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care that aligns with physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and anatomy principles.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home & community care environments is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical procedures such as tube feeding, medication administration, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring.
• Strong understanding of senior care needs including dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.
• Valid QMAP certification or equivalent state licensing required; must meet all regulatory requirements for medication administration.
• Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassion, patience, and attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of medical information. Join us in making a difference during the quiet hours of the night! Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
