Key Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, weight, and other health data as directed..
- Answer call lights promptly and attend to resident needs in a timely, respectful manner.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.
- Observe and report any changes in the resident's condition, mood, or behavior to the nurse on duty.
- Support residents with meal service, hydration, and nutritional needs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas.
- Foster positive, supportive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
- Follow infection control protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies at all times.
- Participate in shift reports, training, and team meetings as required.
Qualifications
- Current Connecticut CNA certification in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or hospital setting (preferred, not required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality resident care.
