What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Principal - High School (Grades 7-12) position at Beechwood High School?
To collaborate with the principal in order to effectively execute the duties and responsibilities associated with a high quality educational program. Additionally, to promote and display leadership within the building and district that encourages a positive learning culture for students and teachers.
Provide leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills so as to promote the best educational program and services to each student. Establishes and maintains an effective learning environment in the school. Implements all Board policies and administrative procedures. Assists in the development, revision, and evaluation of the curriculum. Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the school. Consults with faculty and staff to determine equipment and supply needs for an effective instrucitonal program.
QUALIFICTIONS:
- Certified by the Kentucky Department of Education as a principal.
- Master’s degree.
- Four years of teaching experience.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and acceptable.
For this type of employment, state law requires a national criminal history background check as a condition of employment and a check from the Cabinet for Family and Health Services stating that there are no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect on record.
