Beech Mountain Resort is hiring a Kitchen Manager to lead operations at 5506', our premier mountaintop restaurant and one of the highest elevation dining experiences in the Southeast. This is a full-time, year-round leadership role focused on high-quality execution, seasonal menu development, and effective team management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations at 5506'
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Lead seasonal menu creation and execution
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and safety standards
- Hire, train, and supervise back-of-house staff
- Maintain compliance with health department regulations
- Develop staff schedules and manage labor and food costs
- Collaborate with the front-of-house and events teams for seamless service
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience managing a professional kitchen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for quality food and creative seasonal menus
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-elevation environment
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
